In order to provide an accurate rate, we need to know a few things. These include, what type of event it is how many people will be in attendance, what time it will begin and conclude, and what additional options you wish to add to make your affair more memorable.

We opened in August of 1995, and are a legitimate business registered with the State of New Jersey, as well as our county registrar. Additionally, we are insured with a $1,000,000 liability policy, and have never had an unsatisfied customer.

Mic Check Productions is a full service DJ Entertainment company. While the majority of our business is weddings and sweet 16 celebrations, we do most types of events. Whether it's a child's birthday, 50th wedding anniversary, bar or bat mitzvah, a company holiday party or a backyard luau, we'll work to make it just the type of vibe you're looking for. 

Absolutely! A written contract is always completed when booking an event with us. This assures that everyone is on the same page to avoid any confusion, and outlines times, date, locations, and many other important details.

We welcome song suggestions. If it's not in our over 10,000 songs list or varied music from the 1930s til now, we will be sure to have it for your occasion. We welcome any song suggestions via email in advance, as well as on-the-spot requests at the function itself.

Typically, one of our staff members will go to the venue well in advance to "scout out" the location if we aren't already familiar with it. On the day of the event, we typically arrive 30 to 60 minutes prior to the event to verify that all of our sound and lighting are operating at 100% capacity. In cases of more elaborate setups, we may coordinate with the venue to arrive even earlier at no additional cost to you.

We use professional high end equipment delivering pristine digital sound by many of the best manufacturers of DJ electronics on the market today. Our main rig includes Mackie SRM450 powered speakers, Hercules RMX console, Furman voltage conditioner, one wired and two UHF wireless microphones, all gold cabling, and is run by a MacBook Pro with a Pioneer EFX500 effects processor. In other words, a very clear, highly capable setup.
